Yikes: Prior, Wood Placed On DL
First the Red Sox, then the White Sox…now a whole heck of a lot of people are using every wish on every star that this year might be the Cubs year to do it.
No offense all you Cubs fans, but with the announcement of both Mark Prior AND Kerry Woods as recent additions to the 15-day Disabled List, your hearts have to be sinking just a little. I know it’s early, I know there’s a whole season ahead, but when your best two pitchers on the team start the season hurt, it’s gotta spook you a little.
In all honesty, I want to see them both heal completely, and have a great season. I’d love to see the Cubs do well this year, and I think they actually have a shot at being a great team in 2006.
