I think the most I’ve ever paid was about $80. I’ve sat in seats that probably cost more than that, but thanks to some very generous friends, I paid nothing. How’s about you?

Growing up I was spoiled. My late Uncle was the head trainer for the Milwaukee Brewers, and even if the Brew Crew wasn’t in town he’d get me tickets to the Mariners games. Same when he was with the Angels, but that’s another story. Got to meet Gene Autry(sic) at the time.
But since I live in Oregon, I get to more Minor League games than Pro Games. It’s easier (and cheaper) to drive 25 minutes to Salem-Kiezer (or even and hour and a half to Eugene) than 3 hours up I-5 and deal with Seattle traffic and what not.

Yeah, there are deals to be had at minor-league games. Even accounting for the 2 1/2 hour round-trip drive, it’s cheaper for the wife and me to sit directly behind home plate field level at Elsinore than it is to sit upper tank at Petco.

Yup, I wasn’t very old at the time, met Mrs. Autry too. But I remember it pretty clearly. Along with meeting Rod Carew in the dugout when my Uncle gave me a tour of the bowels of the Big A.
Growing up in the Northwest, I’ve always been a Northwest League kinda guy. Watched a lot of talent flow through the league. And was still living in Spokane when they rattled off 4 League Titles in a row..something that hasn’t been done since. Though Salem Kieser is coming close having won back to back years (the last two years.).

Well, there’s no such thing as a cheap ticket to a Red Sox game (or one that’s easy to get without knowing someone, winning the ticket lottery, or going through a premium-charging reselling agency).

I paid a little over 300$ for a pair of Red Sox tickets last season that were located behind the plate and like 15 rows up. Good (pricey) times.
That was my first game at this baseball temple, too.

The most I paid for tickets was for the 98 WS against the Yankees at Jack Murphy or the Q. It was worth it too…even if the Padres got swept and Scott Brosius (dang!) got MVP. It was over $100 and upper deck behind first base.

Well, there’s such a thing as a cheap Sox ticket, you just have to sit in Minnesota to use it.
There’s a “secret seat” in the Metrodome where it’s $50 or so and two rows from the rail right behind the plate. According to the usher, when the new seating arrangement was set up, they had 12 seats and 11 season ticket owners, so if you’re in the market for a single seat, it’s usually there and really cheap.
On a related note, that would be the most expensive ticket I’ve ever bought but didn’t use. On a windy weekend, I had parked and was psyched up for a Schilling/Santana double bill when my ticket went missing.
Must have fallen out of my pocket and blown out to some lucky parking lot attendant. That one still stings.

I’ve paid $160.00 for a single seat at Fenway, and $300.00 for two seats in Loge up behind the on deck circle. At that game I was complaining about spending it and questioning if it was a good call or not, and then Bronson Arroyo plunked A-Rod, and Varitek punched him in the face, well worth the dough, especially getting the Bill Mueller walk off…… best money I ever spent.

The most I paid was $300 for two tickets to the last game of the year at Fenway Park. Of course they were Green Monster seats so it’s worth the price of admission.
I got my World Series tickets last year for $65 each. They were SRO for game 1 but we could see everything.
