Wells Sent to Padres

Looks like its Bon Voyage to David Wells.  That’s right, Mr. Wells will no longer be filling out a Red Sox uniform.

As of now Wells was dealt for a player to be named later, or cash prospects.  Bottom line is this, despite the fact that his last few starts were decent, Wells just didn’t fit into the Red Sox environment and didn’t deliver as well as the men upstairs (no, not God) thought he would.

Farewell Boomer, good luck in S.D.
