Twins Re-Sign White
The Minnesota Twins have re-signed outfielder Rondell White to a 1-year, $2.75 million contract. White turns 35 in February, but he seems a lot older than that.
White had a terrible 2006 season, hitting just .246/.276/.365 in 99 games. Over a 14-year career, he owns a respectable .286/.339/.465 line. The Georgia native needs six more home runs for 200.
Quoth White:
I’m on a mission. I think I owe the fans a whole great season, not a half of one.
Classy. Here’s hoping he’s able to deliver.
