The Atlanta Braves have shipped shortstop Edgar Renteria to the Detroit Tigers for right-hander Jair Jurrjens and outfielder Gorkys Hernandez. What a curious trade. This gives the Tigers two outstanding shortstops, and leaves the Braves with none.
