Richie Sexson released by the Seattle Mariners?
Richie Sexson, the 6-foot-8 first baseman on the Seattle Mariners, is rumored to be getting released soon. Sexson hasn’t done much at the plate this season, however he did manage to start a brawl by throwing his helmet at a pitcher.
For the helmet tossing fiasco, Sexson was suspended five games. On the season, Sexson is hitting .216 with nine homers and 23 RBIs. He has been playing less and less for Seattle, and now it appears he won’t be playing at all.
Since he’s only 33-years-old, another team is sure to give Sexson a shot. Perhaps even the Texas Rangers, the opposing team when he started the brawl (check the brawl video).
If Sexson can find his swing, and keep his helmet on his head, he could have the last laugh in what has become a disaster of a season for the big first baseman.

Richie Sexson could be looking for work soon.
