Poll: Who is MLB’s Most Exciting Player To Watch
I want lots of comments on this one. I want to know who all you readers think is the most exciting player to watch in Major League Baseball today…
Is it Bonds and his homerun hunt? Is it Pujols and his homers? Is it Manny being Manny? Sound off…let me know, and see if we can spark some great discussions based on that.
COMMENT! I want some opinions!

By the way, there’s nothing exciting about watching Manny being Manny. :-) He plays the game all wrong. He’s just good at playing it all wrong and making it look good. I’d never recommend a youngster learn how to play ball based on Manny. :-)

I also would never want a “Manny” Instructional Video, but you can’t deny that fact that he is in fact exciting to watch. Arguably one of the best pure right-handed hitters ever to play the game. He’s exciting like a wreck in car racing is exciting…you know it’s bad, and you hope it turns out ok, but you can’t take your eyes off it.

Wow. I cannot think of one player that I salivate to watch play since Sammy Sosa stated his Decline and Big Mac retired. I guess if I had to pick, I would say Pujols. But right now, I am having a lot of fun watching some of MLB’s up-and-comers; like Matt Murton, Josh Barfield, Derek Turnbow and Casey Blake. I think we are heading towards a new era where, in 2-3 years, there will be a lot of new big names while others retire or phase out due to injuries. But, if Pujols stays healthy, he may go down as the best of all time.

Solid point Chad, I think it’s gonna be the up-and-comers that really have the “future of baseball”’s excitement on their shoulders. Of course there will be a few big names that stick around if they stay healthy, but I think it’s gonna be the new, relatively unknown players that start making the great plays, the web gems, and the water cooler talk.
If you have a water cooler at your work, that is.

Hey, Very good points…but what about David Wright or Nick Swisher? Swisher has impressed me thus far in the year, he has had hot and cold spots…but he has been a big bat for oakland. Manny being Manny…always awesome to watch but watch out for the young GUNS.
