Pedro Gets 200th Win, As A Met

by Tyler Knott Gregson on April 18th, 2006

Well it finally happened, Pedro got his 200th win as a starting pitcher, and what’s better for the Mets, he got it against their rival Atlanta Braves.  I guess it also doesn’t hurt that his win helped push the Mets into a franchise best start at 10-2.

Not too shabby Pedro, not too shabby at all.  I guess the question is, can they hold up?  They played without Beltran, again, and added another outfielder, Cliff Floyd to the Disabled List.  It goes without saying guys, you need a good outfield, bad.

I guess we’ll see how the combination of great pitching, good offense, and an increasing amount of players on the DL will come together to affect their record.  At least there is one team in New York I can cheer for.
