Harold Reynolds FIRED?! NO!
Look, if he did it, he should be fired, but if he didn’t, I’m pretty furious. That’s right, Harold Reynolds, one of the last not-excruciatingly annoying announcers at ESPN, was fired yesterday due to a sexual harassment claim of a woman co-worker.
Reynolds claims he hugged her and she mis-interpreted it, the woman claims sexual harassment, the ESPN Suits fire him. End of story.
Why am I upset? For starters, ESPN is starting a dangerous habit of hiring smarmy, know-it-all type commentators that always seem like they are talking down to you. Either talking down to you, or just down right Talking, and Talking, and Talking some more (think Joe Morgan, rrrgh). Bottom line, in my eyes, Reynolds was a breath of fresh air and I’ll miss him on ESPN. More news will be posted as it becomes available.
