Cubs Get Dealt ANOTHER Bad Hand

by Tyler Knott Gregson on April 26th, 2006

If I was the Cubs, I think I’d probably want to cry.  I’d want to cry a single tear for every year that has gone by since the last time they won a World Series; I’d want to cry a tear for every day D. Lee is gonna be on the D.L.  Now, I’d want to cry with fear due to the fact that catcher Michael Barrett is going to be day-to-day until he heals from his recent injury.

The x-rays came back negative, so that’s good, but nevertheless the injury to his left index finger that was the result of a slide into second, is going to play a factor.  Manager Dusty Baker said he was planning on using an old friend of mine, Henry Blanco to catch Angel Guzman today anyways, I guess that’s the silver lining, right?

Poor Cubs.  That’s about all I can say.
