Bill Hall Demands Trade - Milwaukee Brewers
Bill Hall of the Milwaukee Brewers wants out. His agent told the media that if the Brewers don’t want to play him everyday, then his client doesn’t want to play with the Brewers at all.
Hall, who just a couple years ago was considered one of the better up-and-coming third basemen in the NL, is currently hitting .228 with nine homers and 23 RBIs. Hall’s problem? His absolute inability to hit right-handed pitching.
Against lefties, Hall is putting up Hall of Fame numbers — .408 average with three homers in 49 at bats. However, against righties, Hall is hitting just .169 with six homers in 136 at bats.
The Brewers understandably are considering other options when the team goes up against a right-handed pitcher. Russell Branyan, the team’s backup third basemen, is hitting .333 against right-handers.
If Hall gets traded, expect the Brewers to look for pitchers in return for the 28-year-old infielder.
